For text and word cloud questions there is an automatic profanity filter applied. If a participant sends in abusive language, then it is automatically blocked from appearing on displays in the Presentation view and on the participant devices.
For Text questions if a response contains an abusive word the entire message will be filtered out from being displayed.
For Word Cloud questions if a response contains an abusive word then only the abusive words will be filtered out. Any other words in the response are still accepted and can appear in the Word Cloud.
Additionally, with word cloud questions depending on the number of responses received and the frequency of the words sometimes there isn’t enough room on the display to show them all so some might miss the cut.
