Presentation View is a new BETA feature we are currently rolling out.
The presentation view allows you to display content to your participants and control polls and Q&A from one screen. It removes the need to have a multi-screen setup where you have to switch from one display to another or to have a separate screen where you can manage your content.
The BETA tag we have on this feature is there to signal it's still a work in progress and there is lots more we intend to do with it in the future.
To launch the Presentation view simply press Presentation View from the control bar in your dashboard.
Once in the Presentation View you will be able to; see instructions to join the Meeting, view the Q&A message board and control your polls. Below we have split the presentation view into sections to explain what content appears.
A: Logo - This is the default logo that appears on the display, this logo can be changed by pressing the settings cog (section C) and uploading a new logo. Standard image types such as jpg, png and bmp are supported. The maximum dimensions of the image that will appear are 425px wide and 84px high. We support the uploading of images up to 1400px in either dimension however, these will be scaled down to fit this area.
B: Join Instructions - Instructions about how participants can join the web app to participate.
C: Control Bar - This is your control bar where you can manage settings and control your polls. The control bar is reactive to your mouse cursor, if there is no activity then it will disappear to give a cleaner view of the display.
- The Dashboard button will take you back to your Meetoo dashboard, so you can manage your meeting in the familiar view.
- Most Liked/Most Recent toggle - here you can alter the view of the Q&A in order of when the questions were sent or by those that have received the most 'likes'
- Previous and Next buttons - These buttons let you cycle through the polls you have in your meeting. When you are ready to display your poll press the Open Poll button, the Close Poll button will end the voting for your participants and display the results. Finally, the Done button will clear the poll from the display so you can move on to the next one.
Tip: you can navigate back through polls you have already asked to display the results again at any time.
- Settings cog - Here you can change the logo that appears in section A and change the colours of the voting result bars when results are displayed.
Changes in the setting menu show immediately as a preview, if you are happy with the changes press Save otherwise press Cancel and the display will go back to how it previously appeared.
D: Q&A - The Q&A section shows questions that have been sent in by your participants. If there is no current poll being displayed, this section will appear centred in the middle of the display. Questions can be sorted using the Most Liked/Most Recent toggle (described in section C), you can also quickly hide questions you no longer want to appear by pressing the 'eye' icon next to each message. Only questions from the 'published' queue are displayed here. If you have the moderation setting active on your dashboard these will still have to be approved for the 'published' queue from the dashboard on a separate screen. If there are no messages in the published queue, then instructions for how participants can join the meeting will be displayed here.
E: Polls - The polls section shows the current poll that is being displayed. Polls are selected and controlled using the buttons on the control bar (described in section C). Multichoice and Rating polls display the results in real-time as participants submit their votes. Text and Word cloud poll results are displayed when a poll is closed.
F: Feedback - The feedback button is a temporary feature available whilst this feature is in its BETA phase. Please send in feedback and comments regarding the Presentation View so that we can improve the feature whilst in its BETA phase. This button is reactive to your mouse cursor, if there is no activity then it will disappear to give a cleaner view of the display.
FEEDBACK: Please use the feedback button on the display or send comments to us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can improve this feature.
